5-year and 10-year prices
The Absher service guide lists SAR 300 for a 5-year passport for a family member over age 10 who has a national identity card 1.
An applicant age 21 or older may renew for 5 or 10 years 2. The Travel Document Law charges SAR 60 for each year of issue or renewal, which produces SAR 300 for 5 years and SAR 600 for 10 years 3.
Applying through Absher
The issue and renewal services are handled through Absher. The applicant completes the online steps, pays the passport fee and follows the delivery or collection instructions shown by the platform 1,2.
The 10-year term is available only from age 21. A younger eligible applicant receives a 5-year passport 1,2. The official sources used here do not publish the page count 1,23.
Renewing from abroad
The Saudi national platform lists an online Ministry of Foreign Affairs service for citizens abroad renewing due to expiry or full pages. It charges US$81 per person 4.
The overseas applicant completes the electronic form, attaches a photograph and required records, then prints and signs the form. An embassy can require an in-person visit or the original records by post 4.
Fee date and legal basis
The domestic amounts were still present on the Absher service guide and the official Travel Document Law when checked on 19 October 2026 1,3. The law permits the Council of Ministers to change the amount 3.
